Abstract

This paper proposes a unified framework to assess and guide nations aspiring for global leadership. It argues that sustained dominance and influence on the world stage require a strategic balance among four essential domains. They are manufacturing, services, research and development (R&D), and higher education. It can be recognized that global leadership and power for any nation rest on a balanced and strategic triad of economic pillars along with quality of higher education. The paper introduces the Leadership Composition Equation (LCE), supports it with historical and modern data across continents.
